Application phase for trainee program at Lufthansa Technik begins

18-month international program starting in October

Lufthansa Technik AG is now looking for participants for the next round of its well-known StartTechnik trainee program. Above-average graduates with degrees in engineering, industrial engineering, economics and business information technology will once again have the opportunity as of October to take part in an 18-month program that prepares them intensively for the challenges of an internationally active aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul provider.

After a three-week rotation to become acquainted with the company, participants can demonstrate their skills in four projects, one of which takes place in Lufthansa Technik's international network. Experienced managers serve as mentors during this time. In addition to these concrete challenges in the company's operative business, the program features extensive seminars, networking events and individual career development meetings.

Depending on their interests, trainees can work in a variety of areas in the company, such as aircraft maintenance and overhaul, component supply, engines, marketing and sales, finance and accounting, purchasing, controlling or IT.

"StartTechnik is especially well suited for committed university graduates who bring lots of personal initiative and a high awareness of responsibility to the task of starting an international career in management or a technical specialty at Lufthansa Technik," says Elke Niemann, who is responsible for the StartTechnik program at Lufthansa Technik. "For this reason, the program also requires a high degree of intercultural competence along with mobility and the willingness to take on responsible tasks in our worldwide network even at short notice."
